Nice update, but being able to ressurect 90% of your stats if you recover your body and skull is a bit of overkill, that is not permadeath anymore.

The problem that there is no PvP is that the current PvP taken as a whole is unbalanced as fuck and greatly favors ganks and the fights don't last longer 1 minute in which noone can find fun in, especially, the ones that die during those few seconds they were in a battle and lose weeks of work for a few seconds of fighting. Loosing a character in a situation where you were not fast enough put up a defence on which you grinded for weeks or you didn't even get a fighting chance or atleast a escape chance in a classic gank scenario is very demotivating. Horses has ruined the balance. That is the problem of the current combat.

Great patch here I'm looking forward to trying this stuff out. I can agree with most other people that State Funeral seems a little overpowered or rather useless for majority of players that aren't a major faction.

I'm not sure what you could really do about this. Even if you were to say, create a timer on fresh spawn characters in which they don't receive any exp events or don't actually receive the exp when they get one, couldn't someone just as easily spawn those characters within close distance to those resources and just wait out that time? I think you could make this strategy more difficult to perform certainly but it seems rather impossible to stop it altogether.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of requiring the claim over them? I think that if you claim over some newbs that don't want to be a member they might not like it or not realize the benign effect of the claim on them and move but if you're allowed to invite them to be a member and the exp they gain goes towards your authority without a claim over them why bother claiming over any village at all.

Because no-one will move out that easily just because someone's kingdom is overlapping. Moreover, exp might be gained in other places outside of villages.

I think it would certainly be useful, I'm just not sure it's what they intended if you could have someone across the map feed in to your realm without the need for a claim.

The best encouragement for people to participate in pvp would be a combat system worth a shit, a combat system that would be interesting on it's own like what we had in Legacy. People used to spar each other just for the fun of it, like everyday, trying all kinds of situations 1v2, 2v2, 2v4, in close spaces, outside, while swimming, on boats etc, spending sometimes 3-4 hours in a row, that's how good it was. Especially w6 combat, but whatever.
And if you just make combat risk free as lady goo is advocating, it's not gonna make anyone happy. More people will try it - sure, but is it gonna be as exciting or meaningful? And it'll get old real soon anyways because the combat system is bad. You can go to Valhalla right now and battle there all you want with no risk of losing anything, but no one is doing that because it's boring.

Many people are turned away by the gankfest that is combat

Against animals, the new combat system can be pretty fun but when you're against multiple players you quickly realize how flawed the system is.
It is very discouraging to try to pvp when you know that even 1 extra person on the opposing side will likely mean the end of your character. Just being able to drink on rotation is a huge advantage in a 2v1 :/

Previous worlds were exciting, even when outnumbered because of the chance for movement hits, and the runner had a huge advantage over the chasers because of this... Not so much the case now
