What exactly is your problem? Them making a living off something they spent developing full time without any other job the last 2 years?

I find it amazing how you can still defend them after everything that has been posted.

I see nothing majorly wrong with what they did. So why wouldn't I? And it seems most people I am talking to outside of all the forum rage have the exact same opinion.

We can talk about the pricing being a little too high maybe. The devs themselves have stated they are open to change there and will keep an eye on it to assess what their course of action is going to be. So be patient there and stop the rage.

We can also talk about them not being the most communicative about it. Yes, that needs to get better. Though it has been stated through official channels before that the game was going to be p2p it might have not been good enough. I also understand people being offended by Jorbs snide remarks, just as well as I understand Jorb being a little pissed off at the wave of hate. As a representative of his company he should probably keep that to himself though (though I personally find it refreshing that he isn't giving you the Yes-Man here to satisfy the customer acting like a little kid that hasn't gotten what it wants for christmas)

We can certainly talk about the cash shop being confusing. I think so too.

We can talk about long ass server crashes being a big no-no when you expect money from your customers. I am with you there. The devs want to change that but have to see over the next weeks how to approach it. They can certainly afford a night watch for now.

We can discuss all of that in a civil manner, but nontheless the general direction they have taken is very reasonable and also necessary since this is their full time job now. It might not work out with a niche game like HnH and then you can all laugh your asses off, but it is what they went for. They developed 2 years full time, no other jobs, no payment. The donations for old HnH have been laughable from what they said (maybe they are lying about that, but I honestly doubt that) so there had to be a change in monetization.

To me personally the new version of the game is simply amazing and the old one was already the most influential game I ever played. So to me that equals it being worth a lot. I am willing to pay that then.

You just listed how they completely screwed up, either by incompetence, apathy, greed or whatever you want to call it, and you still think "the general direction they have taken is very reasonable." You know they completely fucked up and you are still making excuses for them in every thread. You are the worst kind of shill.

Edit: Also telling people to fuck off is not a "snide remark," it is a fucking insult and outright unacceptable. These people kept the game alive for years for fucks sake and he just shits on them like they are nothing.

Almost no one who played the game donated, to characterize the outraged playerbase as having "kept the game alive" is fundamentally wrong. People played the game for years, for free, while Jorb and Loftar kept it alive out of pocket. The fact that you write off anyone who attempts to disagree with you as a 'shill' just shows you have no interest in having an actual discussion and have no interest in forming an accurate opinion.

Spend more time in game guys, whatever your stances are in the pricing model time will tell if it's viable or not.
If it's viable it won't change so all your posts mean nothing. If it's not viable it will change your posts still mean nothing because economics.

What you need to worry about is that by the time haven market's model prove it self people will have trespass and murder, and you are left with no home, no base, nothing, because all you do is posts here instead of playing the beautiful FREE game.

Gee, and telling players "fuck off" must be setting a better example.

No I did not. You clearly did not read my text properly. If you are just here to cause trouble then please stay away. If you have actual arguments go ahead and present them in a meaningful way.

About the "fuck off" thing. Is there a quote? I mean that is clearly not very appropriate for a dev, but considering you critics called them jews that should have burne d in Auschwitz I can somewhat understand it. Pot calling the kettle black and all.

Except you really can't do much with 48 hours and virtually nothing with 12 hours. As for the game itself: it's haven, a lot of the stupid bits like immovable hills are gone, you can move the camera around and cave systems spawn naturally, general additions players have asked for YEARS to be fixed in haven. But the 3d models need a lot of work and the game still feels like a campy b movie of an indie project, charming: but still very flawed and still retains a lot of problems that existed in legacy haven.

Enough with the "please read properly or else get out". You listed some aspects where even you disagreed. Why is it so hard to admit it?

We wouldn't be here if it wasn't free. Everyone kept it alive by actually caring to sign on and play. For years, they haven't come up with a solution to make money and keep the community happy. Paying everything out of their own pocket is their own choice.
