ALL TRUE ARCHERS -> unsubscribe. No gold for devs.

hah, I love how people compare real life things with in - game features as if this game was a real life simulator where all the features must be like in real life. I doubt in real life a arrow would be able to penetrate top q armor with first few shots too, but you could 1shot anyone fully equiped with topq armour in 2 seconds in the game which is not realistic and you didn't cry about it?

It's more about making the game more balanced, better quality gameplay, if you want real life archery then you can do some archery irl lol
There was a wise soviet conscript that was surrounded by the enemy on the battle of Stalingrad. A mortar shot teared his pants apart causing a big hole in his pants right on his right butt cheek. He felt a glorious cold ass breeze of wind on his butt cheek, like it would be sent by stalin himself, he said - hide your butts

actually, IRL a steel arrow head can penetrate 1/4 inch steel, and if you want to go medieval, a special arrow was developed known as the Pile arrow, specifically for penetrating Plate Armor. Know your facts please and thank you. :)

Edit Pile Arrow was also known as a bodkin arrow head

Some food for thought for all the disgruntled hunters out there.

Character: MM 279, PERC 524.

q120 Bow + q 106 Arrow:
- Aiming time (before the meter stops ticking altogether) ~15 sec.
- Meter filled ~90%
- damage @ Bear = 448

q112 Boar Spear:
- Aiming time ~7 sec.
- Meter filled ~95%
- damage @ same Bear = 446

That's peculiar, huh.

This is assuming people have super high stats. Again going back to lower level people this means again death before getting food/resources.

As a new player, i can say that I'm pretty happy with the current changes to archery. Have to agree with Jorb, its pretty retarded to have to stand right next to your target to actually hit it.

Also HUZZAH! for Bagpipes, they are going to be awesome! :)

*sigh* okay gimme a moment to try it with lower stats >.<
Edit: darn it, I actually used 2 bars of silver to lower the spear quality, but still got 61. WIll have to set up some low-q tools first.

Suggestion go with somethign more average to newer people. Say 40 perc and 30 MM using a q20 bow/arrows/spear. At that point I would be more inclined to accept the facts. Also do the same from a boat as most newer people would try that first.

It amazes me how Maslow is acting like he didn't see it coming.

Good update.
