Next update: Some new endgame armour please, that would be hard to craft and not spammable, like current "endgame" gear is. Maybe would take foul smoke or rock crystals to craft, but it would be worth the effort.

Not at all. People are just too lazy to go look for them and too afraid to leave to scents. And if that's your case, you deserve to pay for them like a tool.

i can honestly say ive collected like 50+ rock crystals myself and my village mates have also collected tons

when u know location of one and when it respawns the crystal it isn't hard

Yeah, people are just over-exaggerating about how hard it's to get a rock crystal. If devs wouldn't have fucked up by letting people claim resources at the beginning, I think it would not be a problem at all, not like it's a problem right now if you have scouted the rock crystal spots around the area and use a alt to steal them or find a unclaimed/inactive node which is quite easy to do right now. The item being rare, doesn't mean it's impossible to get or it is behind a paywall

Sure they arent 100% behind paywall.
But it would change nothing. Major factions have tons of them, and poor scrubs got none. Same with materials of dhelm etc.
