You're a new guy. You spawn in the middle of the happy hunting grounds. You don't know that, but everyone else in the area does. One particular group are angry that you could ruin the local wildlife. What other choices do they have? You're clearly trespassing, even if it's not clear to you.
Maybe it's more like this: Big Bad is roaming through the forest for some prey. Look, a new guy! Lamb to the slaughter...
Whatever it is, this game is clearly and plainly labeled as open world and open PvP. The only difference between this and Fortnite is you just spawn into the next match there. You might have lost hours of work here. Also, you're not going to get banned for collusion here.
I think there should be more incentives for vets to not just run everyone else out of the area*, but that has to be balanced with maintaining the regional needs that you can't just farm or mine, like meat and clay. Incentives only go so far when some spruce cap stumbles into the Happy Hunting Grounds. And incentives are worthless when it comes down to who you can and can't trust. Shoot if not Blue (or whatever color your faction picks as friendly) is the general rule in lawless territories.

The bottom line is that some players do not have a chance to resist, the problem is not about the age of the players.
LaserSaysPew summed up my thoughts on the matter pefectly. FYI, i'm one of the bad players, and I'm ok with that. I've just learned to try and be a friend and asset rather than an enemy and a risk.
