Being able to compare IPs to identify who's a sockpuppeting shitter is just built into this kind of forum software, it's not some nefarious thing

I know GDPR is not something devs will be ever bothered about, it's clear forum and game servers needs to collect some data like session keys and IP's just to function properly, but I'm not sure the data should be so vaguely accessed by moderators just to make a point in an argument.
For instance, my personal data(IP) was accessed in this case to compare my IP to other Temu alt accounts, I wasn't informed about that, and I'm not sure it's a justified purpose accessing it if it was only used by Pills to brag that he knows who does that.
