I, like many others here, had a group of friends hyped and ready to play day one, only to get reamed. I've put hundreds of hours in and love it for the niche charm it possesses; they look at the game and see it for what it truly is: a hot java mess not worth a subscription. "sorry, i can't get in to this if we have to pay monthly, let's play some league/hots/counterstrike"

the point is not that the game costs money, I'd gladly have payed. it's that it was not announced. and it's using an archaic subscription model reserved for dying, AAA-as-of-15-years-ago games.

you can't put a price on communicating with your community properly. And as much as I respect jorb for his tongue-in-cheek responses to the shit bags that play this game, mistakes were made.

I really hope I'm wrong, and 6 months from now this game is thriving and has 1000+ people playing, no bots, etc etc, but I don't see how.

It's not that I don't want to pay 72$ for a year's subscription, it's that I have no faith in the longevity of this game given the form of monetization chosen, and the way it was implemented.
and without an active user base, people you can run in to and interact with on a consistent basis, then it's just not worth my time, as a free game, let alone my money.

Just shaddddup already its been said 100 times.

If its not worth it than shut up, stop repeating yourselves and go play a game made by lesser intelligent devs.

The fuck? you have 97 posts, 80 of which are in this thread, half of those are complaining about the launch, the pricing, the store, and server crashes. the other half are attacking those who also complained. 100% intentionally trolling, or loftar's alt account. (audiosmurf being jorb's) inclusive or, because those are clearly not mutually exclusive.

fuck off.

Wow you're fucked man. I never once complained about the launch, the pricing or the store. If I sound harsh while I am schooling the freeloaders well too bad. You must be awfully paranoid to think the devs would make alt accounts to "troll" you idiots.

You complainers are the ones trolling. So how about you fuck off?

and suck my creamy cock?

Yes we are trolling. What you just written is a well written argument full of sound logic not petty and useless namecalling at all. ;)

Edit; wanted to add that this is very mature of you, especially considering our differing opinions. Very adult.

are you being serious
It is nice to rest your weary bones from time to time. It is nice to lay down your burdens. It is nice to have a seat.

Ya I am going to have to figure that one out for this coming weekend. Everyone spawns dead center in the middle of the map right? A bit spread out maybe?

If that is the case it's pretty simple. My friends and I will use Skype and share screens to find common landmarks, shouldn't take too long. Then head out on our trek. I'll have to start another character I guess. No biggie.

implying that your blind devotion isnt dumb as fuck... THE IRONY BURNNNNNS
Morpheus: I imagine that right now, you're feeling a bit like Alice. Hmm? Tumbling down the rabbit hole?
Neo: You could say that.
Morpheus: I see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he is expecting to wake up. Ironically, that's not far from the truth. Do you believe in fate, Neo?
Neo: No.
