Haven't seen recent video's of people attacking others yet have you? Moot is full of videos showing 5 guys taking down a pali wall under and above ground like chopping a regular tree. IJS

you know once a palisade has dried (takes 3 days) it can't be handbashed and then you're required to use a siege engine which is limited on the amount of damage it can do in a period of time, right?

and the claim shield can only take 5k damage per hour as well I believe, and it has a total of 60k health.

How dare you come up with a reasonable solution to the dev's age old PVP or nothing problem.

You're in the wrong game if you think "PvP or nothing" is a "problem". That's like saying "most game nowadays are first person shooters with very detailed graphics, Haven not being that is a problem", no it's not, you're just not playing that kind of game.

The whole point of Haven is, I think, you can change the world however you like, including (if you try hard enough and team up with the right people) remove any players from the game whenever you like. It's a free for all shitfest and that's how I like it, if people could simply choose that I can't kill them there would really be no point in playing the game honestly. I don't usually randomly kill people but the choice is there. I can build wherever I want if I try hard enough and kill whomever I want if I try hard enough, that's Haven.

IMHO the issue is not about PvP or not but the mindset the current death penalties create, which is unattractive to many as for them it is to pick only two from long-term investment / permadeath / fun.
