pvp and quality grinding are always being done. when you reach the cap on character stats, your best bet is to make a new character so that when the first one dies you have a new identical one to rely on

Why were stat caps added by the way? It would be easy enough to prevent palisade bashing in the code without the use of a siege machine so it can't be that they're there for that reason. If it's to lessen the power gap between older and newer players then couldn't we simply modify the formulas to allow severe diminishing returns as you go higher in stats?

There's nothing about PvP in its current state I find interesting, killing people for no reason is boring to me and without some sort of political cause for creating conflict between groups I don't see the fun in random ganks. I'll go play DOTA for that.

Quality grind is the one and only end-game activity, but putting it that way makes it sound more boring than it actually is. Mining around for better quality stone, ore and coal is quality grind. Planting trees, quality grind. Farming, quality grind. Quality grind isn't limited to one activity which is exactly why I enjoy it so much, there are plenty of activities you can do that almost always have the effect of improving some aspect of your industry.

In my opinion whether or not you are at the stat cap doesn't matter for anything other than pvp.

Exploring, foraging, mining, pvping, trading, hunting, making alts, farming, managing animals, cheese making, wine & beer, silk, etc.

You know, all the fun things you can do in this game, rather than just grinding up your character

Is it not indeed the randomness of card selection from the deck that has caused you to use five-card decks?

Not entirely.

With more than 5 cards I still know what cards are coming up next because of the way they cycle through.

Its the fact that the only way to break through someone's defenses is by spamming an attack and hoping you have high enough agility. If spamming defenses wasn't so viable, spamming attacks to beat it wouldn't be as viable and larger than 5 card decks would be usable.

Trading cards game have minimum deck sizing rules. They do not have maximum deck sizing rules. It will always be best to use the least cards possible.
