Hi. Thanks for your work, it's great! In anticipation of the new world, wouldn't you like to make some local resources useful again? The clay pit produces clay that replaces soap clay. Based on the experience of the last few worlds, after 3-4 weeks, soap clay significantly outperforms the clay pit in quality. We need to either increase the base quality of the pit, or make it so that the clay from the pit replaces green clay, not soap clay. And spring water. In this world, after raising the base quality of water due to the bug use, spring water became valuable for the first time. Doubling the quality forced us to hunt for it to plant trees. In past worlds, water from deep wells also quickly outperformed in quality, without being scarce. How do you see that the quality of spring water is not x2, but x5, for example? Considering the collection drop by drop, this would be interesting. And about pottery clay. It will never, even in theory, surpass bone or coade clay in quality. Considering the labor intensity of its production, as well as the need for a credo, this is a shame. Don't you want to reconsider its formula?

You've restored my hype for the next world! Thank you Jorbftar!

If possible, I'd like to run only one server, but we'll see. I think it would suck a fair bit to add more servers after the initial one(s) have launched, so I would really like to avoid that if at all possible.

Let's say, in case you're gonna open more than one server.
Wurm has a multi-server system, each server is accessible through ocean by players on ships/boats. Maybe try to do something similar for Hafen? Like, it would solve potential problems with having multiple servers, if one server lost its player count then hearthlings can just swim to another with all their belongings. Or visit it for other reasons. Dunno if its doable to write such system in one month tho.

But is Steam fine with games being on their platform where this is common practice? Serious question. I'm sure it is something they have not looked into at all, but would be a shame to see the game be removed from steam after a week because of this.

You do realize steam also has pornographic games, so not to worry, it is not sanitary.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Thats good, there shouldnt be any overkill protection, lack of it benefits the feeling of progression and pushes people to trade their low tier/high tier food

I think there is quite a distinction between pornography and your weird hentai sails, and swastika pavings.
Then again, I just noticed theres games on Steam called "Hitler is my crush" and "Hitler my friend" with positive ratings, so it's probably not that bad.

Rust is a good example which has all of it and 50x times more edgy player created content/people toxicity than H&H would ever have so its all fine and it is really something out of control of the devs, don't see why they would be any different in regards to H&H. Maximum I see that they could be pushed by Steam to create some kind of reporting system for the edgy/toxic content and moderate it from time to time

2500 is not that much, two accounts go together to raid the anthill and collect more loot, third account raids hives, fourth scouts resources.

another 5-10 at the base spin spiroastrosts
I don't know...

First of all, thanks for listening to the community!

Besides that, any thoughts on the world 16 spawns?

I think having a way to do a soft divide on the playerbase with the spawns? My idea is having a substantially larger world with 2 different spawning strategies to accomodate the two sides of the community.
One spawn type should be closer to the central continents, this area of the map should have a higher concentration of localized resources, meteor fall chance, etc. This is the intended area for big groups and PVP oriented factions.
Second spawn type should be randomized around the central continents, towards the edges of the world. This is more for newer players and people looking for a more relaxed approach.

Sure, this could have its own problems and drawbacks but I think, as a community, we should try to find a better spawning strategy to accomodate a possible influx of new players with the Steam release.

ALSO: Please make sure new players know how spawning works and what they need to do to play with their friends.

Because we did a revolutionary pivot and quickly changed course. This is deep lore.
