It's like getting nothing, we had active subscription anyways, It's not like getting time to rebuild, it won't make our day 48h long. It won't make the steel making faster, won't make animal taming and breeding faster.
It's huge setback for us.
Starting almost from scratch.

It's a game with permadeath, you knew this from the start.

Oh, I know. That's the Ring of Brodgar. But they were not really memorials of in-game events like the destruction of a bugger's settlement, they were more like structures without real background (like, they fit the lore but their story is not one built by players) :)

Because whenever we try to "restore" things, it always ends up so horribly arbitrary and unfair that I honestly think it's better to not even try at all. What about the people who "only" lost goods but not characters? What about when we start receiving reports from other people who died, and we can't verify whether they died in combat, or even if they did, in combat that was related to this bug? &c&c. There are so many minute details even in cases that may at first seem completely clear-cut.

Only because it is, indeed, more than nothing at all.

thank you for the clarification. is that what happened after the coal bug verdict? i cant say im convinced, i cant get this "if it were me" thought off of me, still i understand where you stand and i appreciate your honest reply.

When we had the coal bug we were inexperienced and naïve. It is one of the experiences that have formed our current handling of these issues. :)

Qualify it with "more", then, if you will.

Not that bad of a viewpoint if you ask me.
At least better than being disillusioned and bitter by having experienced to much from bad people...

It's not that bad to be that, honestly.
