In character sheet there is "Lore and Skills" tab. And "Lore" button. It lists all the lore events you had. Quite useful when you try to re-trigger them!

It's just a shitty system dude, I log in every day and do some mining, farming, a little foraging and other random shit and I log out with about as much experience as I had the day before, which isn't much. When you are stuck in the exp hole it's difficult to get out.

I don't think that means they should revert this curio change though, it seemed fine to me and could just use a few tweaks.

My daily intake consists of crafting something swimming boating digging cooking sitting lifting etc etc, almost every day i find around 100 - 200 xp is saved and banked if you will, the new system they introduced may have actually taken its toll on that eventually..
since day one i have been wondering how the hell i am ever going to use all this blessed xp, finally get some hint of that and then bam its gone..

my quabble is not that devs dont know what there doing or that they make changes for whatever reason, hell ive loved the new changes and introductions thus far. but ive not seen one rolled back due to a few sqibbles...

my point stands tho, what is more in question here is why people dont manage there xp
and why the devs caved in? i would like an explanation..
there are tooltips for a reason, agreed my math is terrible but thats not everyone elses fault.....
Shanked..

I thought this was one of the best patches so far especially after seeing squirrels last one. I was getting mats together and was about to settle down to finally be able to supply my village with curios i was going to even make silver rose and old teeth because the wear patch wouldve made them actually useful, alas they are back to being a worthless curio unless u have maws to burn.

It doesn't really matter what you do or I do to be honest, if I want to log in and just mine for a few hours and log out again why can't I do that? That is the point I am trying to get at, they've created a system where players are learning what gives the experience and they are running through the list regularly. I don't want to do that, I shouldn't have to do that and that is certainly not what I would consider to be a well thought out implementation. Experience is the problem and it has always been an issue. The simple fact that you or someone else has 10k-20k experience points while another person is sitting in the negatives is PROOF that it does not work the way it should.

See the problem here stems from jorb doing things compeltely halfassed and yet again completely missing what the issue was and what the change was supposed to achieve.
I autocuriod 24/7 and never had issues with XP. I couldnt use mirks ofc, but i used bat wings most of the time. I didnt gain any XP but it roughly stayed the same except for those days where i couldnt go out due to siege or being outlawed and enemy was active.
This change was supposed to have the goal to alleviate the need to auto curio. But they went in a completely different direction and decided that the people who never bothred to auto curio should have some more LP, neglecting the fact that those players also never really bothered to manage XP and at the same time making some nodes worthless. MW reduction is completely useless and wear is so so. So now everything that isnt essence is garbage.
The players who autocuriod before will still need to do so. The low timer items like feather trinket and bat wings and bark boats and glimmer seers bones etc ALSO have low wear. So after 2h, that is 1 cycle, my feather trinket is already down to 90%. So i just use a new one again. Why waste my XP and time for 90%. I never had trouble to fill them when they were one time use so there is no change here. Bat wings have 4 or 5 wear. So after 1 cycle of 4h or what was it, they are garbage. I just use a new one.
So the change didnt achieve what it was supposed to do. Autocurio is even more necessary now because otherwise you waste your lp for shit gains.

If you're having exp problems, touch a willow every eight hours, do some other lore events if you can't get it.

You SHOULD care about mental weight the more LP a curio gets, so you get an incentive to increase intelligence.

Oh for fuck's sake. Curio change was the best change to this game so far. Why are we not allowed to have fun, Jorb?

It's only somewhat viable if you happen to have limited amount of high quality curios but other than that it sucks.

This incremental learning is bad. Please revert.

Well I'm sorry you feel that way but since the change my LP gain has gone way up and maybe that is because I wasn't running auto curio before but that is exactly the point is it not? And I don't know what you're using but I logged out for the night and came back on this morning to swap in some new curios only to find that all the ones I had on were still there and still perfectly viable to use. Like it was said already, the experience is the main issue here.

While admittedly my expectations for this update were low, we waited for it and got a random curio change that was not really requested in the first place and now they are going to revert it? What the fuck lol.

Well I'm sorry you feel that way about me feeling that way but it *is* bad and no it's not related to auto-study which I actually don't use (warri explains later here why it doesn't even solve the issue with auto-study)
I played around 9 hours tonight and during that time ended up checking the study box and recalculating the shit out of everything almost on hourly basis - should iI remove this? nope still good. This one maybe? ...
It added a few new and unnecessary vectors which need to be taken into account when arranging the study and just over-complicated things in my opinion for a questionable benefit. Different implementation of same "incremental study" idea maybe dunno but that one wasn't the best.
