Haven is, and has been, a labour of love, and we will -- barring the unforseeable -- keep it going in one capacity or another for as long as we are at all able to, and money is not much of a factor in that. If, however, our attention has to be diverted elsewhere -- which, presently, is going to become the case -- that will, naturally, affect the rate of development.

STEAM bro.

Put legacy stand-alone on Steam for $10 and see how it goes.

One more thing

It might require change to existing functionality so wiuld make sense to change on world reset

Jorb&Loftar, can you do somthing with current custom images application?
Currently in order to make an image looks nice on the object one has to do numerous tries and upload just to see it on the model.

As a suggestion:

Image type for each item may be?

A blank pattern so people can draw using it and knowing it will fit and that "outside" unused part of the image won't be used in the price or crafting?

Problem with legacy on Steam would be that it would burn the Haven name as it is riddled with bugs, plus they would have to work on it again which would (my guess) kill further Hafen development (plus it sucks to work on an older codebase when you now have a new, better one).

It could have a system where two platforms are attached to the rope, and as one ferry moves to the other side, the other goes to the opposite side. Like a well, it would use rope in amounts relative to the distance being crossed, like one rope per tile. And of course, other water craft can cross the rope without issue, which doesn't make much sense but it would work better than bridges. The ferry could move at walking or running speed. I couldn't find any pictures detailing what I have in mind, so I hope someone understands it.

sound aesthetic also i saw that system in underground coal mine (yeah strange place to find) , but well thats far more complex than some eaisly destroyable makeshift bridge on the water tile , i think loftar and jorb want it look aesthetic and usefull at the same time . but we can start with something sacrificeable and fast the build in narrow rivers .

since its a new world, lets add some progresion/evolution , lets put som pepper to siegues, let them atack, but give mechanized defenses to the buildings (AFK defenses that shot) and with a player aiming if his available, and guess is time for the atackers to fly, add some hot balloons to the arsenal, of course afk defenses can get them down ;D, reinvent warfare!!!!

Another thing for it would be a creative mode, being able to gen your own maps to play on, create your own animals/enemies, etc. I would buy the FUCK out of that.

We're on the fence about tri-quality in general, but are strongly considering removing it entirely, in favor of a one-dimensional quality -- As in Legacy -- quite simply, with an eye toward potentially introducing other quality mechanics down the road. Feel free to opine on the subject.

I like that idea. 8-)
