I think that you should always know if you are being scry'd. Looking back at the person scrying could be a stat check though.

Would be cool to see past. What happen in the moment of scent creation. But I understand, that such level of coding would be a nightmare.

Nah i like this gives some more meaning to having high stealth/int for top criminals to always know if youre being watched.
Would appreciate some more stealth gildings tho there are very few compared to the insane exp/perc gildings.

Imo redhand change from 5 to 20 is bad but i wont go in to this anymore. nice patch.

lol unless the people scrying you are irrelevant there's no way you're not getting scryed by a dedicated scrying alt. I don't think you'll ever rly have enough stealth/int/psy to avoid it, and more gildings will prolly make it easier for the alts since they get more slots than you

Increased the duration of the "Red-Handed" debuff from 5 to 20 minutes.

Devs are the best!

Brings to my mind one Finnish comic about the government deciding that every citizen will have to accommodate one goat in kitchen of their house.
Soon the government decided to remove the goat accommodation requirement and people were ecstatic and hooraying about how great and competent their government was!

The argument before was well red handed does nothing and no one ever uses scents to track people because they are scary. Now its the same darn thing, people arent going to scry because they will just get shit on some more.

If you get scry'd by a faction member, you will NEVER be able to see that you're being scry'd. This is bad for you.

If you scry a faction member, you will ALWAYS be detected. Changing the see-scry-eye roll changes nothing for you.

Changing the roll (or removing it) is therefore only a benefit to you. However, the concern isn't about you, but about faction vs. faction stuff.

Is there some reason why HTTP version of the site does not redirect into HTTPS version? I don't think ability to use HTTP leads to anything else than some poor people with old browsers using the insecure version.
When attempting to scry, a roll is made based upon the scryer's (Perception * Exploration) versus the perpetrators (Intelligence*Stealth) to determine if the scry is successful. If the ratio is below 0.5, the scryer has no chance of far-seeing the perpetrator. If the ratio is above 2.0, the scryer always succeeds.

Scrying mechanic seems bad, problematic people will just bot 1000 int and 1000 stealth so no-one can use that on them. It will only be used on alts/sprucecap thugs etc.

Not knowing if you're getting scryed can lead to some degenerate ganks, which will probably impact non-faction players the most, especially with the stat-check. I think you should always know if you're getting scryed.

Also psy shouldn't be in the formula, it's basically a crafter only stat so it just incentives making dedicated scrying alt-bots.

All the update is great !

Except the scrying. First, the intended purpose is unclear. What is the point of it (?). Second, weaklings will not use it anyway avoiding to be victimized twice if it will grants the scried offender to learn more about them, their locations, etc. But for the moment I see this new mechanics only as a novelty gimmick without the actual purpose.

Very true i think remove psy from this and add 2x ratio to it like ua otherwise its gonna be impossible to beat scry alts.
Just for peering back* the chance for the scry to succeed and be spotted shouldnt be 2x
