It's nice to see alchemy getting some love!
Unfortunately, I don't think it's very usable in this format. Possibly also bugged?
The "Alchemy Book" collects and remembers the recipes of all (effectful) elixirs you have discovered.

But it currently tracks everything even if there's no matched effects, leaving the effects column empty.
It also does not show wounds caused by the recipe, which is dangerous and would alone make me not want to use it.

These two things mean that anyone actually discovering recipes will end up with a massively bloated list full of useless and dangerous recipes from the hundreds of tests required to discover all effects. If there's a way to delete them I've not found the keybind for it and just being able to sort the effects column alphabetically is not going to help much at all.

Ender's implementation of an alchemy book does a decently helpful job of keeping track of what you've tested against what and can be set to only store full recipes when you choose, as well as being able to name them, maybe take a look there for a good base.

A good start would be:
- being able to choose / adjust what recipes are stored
- sort / filter by specific effects and ingredients
- show wounds caused by the recipe, including conversions.

Too lazy to login and check how this actually looks, but I bet my life your UI/UX for this is dogshit compared to the 25 year old game you copied alchemy from

But why would loftar return otherwise?

Ah, you overhauled the wound system. That explains why Deep Worm is causing me to crash on the wound screen now.

Good update, finally that bug is gone.

But

I wanted to wait until i could actually test the feature to say this for sure but this is kinda useless.
No alchemist wants to remember every potion they ever made ever, a log would be nice but without way to sort, search, save favorites, etc, it feels very pointless. Also it doesn't remember only "effectful" elixirs, it's saving useless only harmful potions too.
Also, saving a good potion now thanks to previous changes is as easy as taking a screenshot of the potion ingame(and it looks better too. oh yeah and it shows what effects are converting into what), so this feature becomes even more useless thanks to some welcoming changes you guys made this world.

Some are praising this feature but i really don't see the point and i think it will very very rarely be used.
This feature can, of course, be improved, but as it is right now it's very much useless, imo.

This would be amazing - it'd be nice to have a filter and not to have to browse wikis and figure out what I have access to or not for feps

I know cooking book is too much to ask for, as you can't make it because it's totally random and there is no logic, but perhaps time to give some love to cooking too?

Our primary development direction is toward object-controlled-objects.
