I was watching the stream again, and noticed some pages saved on their browser:
- "Colonization";
- "De re metallica", a book about the art of mining, refining and smelting from the 1500s;
- "Renaissance Martial ...", maybe for new weapons?
- "16th century in literature", lots of books...
- "De humans corporea fabrics", a set of books on human anatomy written in the 1500s;
- "Assize of Clarendon", an act of Henry II of England (1166) that began a transformation of English law and lead to trial by jury;
- What I think is "Cennino Cennini", an Italian painter and author of "Il libro dell'arte", a sort of "How to" book on late Medieval and early Renaissance painting.
- "The Project Gutenberg", probably his source of books.
- "Democracy"
- "The Pirotechnia of Vannuccio Biringuccio", which is considered the first book on metallurgy ever published in Europe.
- "A collection of ..." can't make what the last word is.
- "Drinks"
- "Speech to the Troops..." best guess is Speech to the Troops at Tilbury, delivered in 1588 by Queen Elizabeth I of England, before the invasion by the Spanish Armada.
- "Walter Raleigh", known English explorer (among a bunch of other work titles)
It might be nothing, or it might be hints to what they researched for the new world. Your guess is as good as mine...
