I offered to help Dole with that.

Sounds like he offered to unlock the gates, which was the main loss in terms of infrastructure, but sure

i think you guys made a big mistake with this situation. if this was a large village and they slaughtered everyone inside using this bug, lets say all of AD got killed, i know you would have done a different punishment. But it was just 1 guy, so for some reason you chose to barely do anything about it.

this makes it sounds like you dont care about the little guy honestly, which is the majority of your player base. the reason why iam getting mad, is bob dole could be me. we have a small group. would you care if i died to a bug?

If its true that he was maxed, if he enherit he would still be the stronguest guy in this game ( well, I guess ).
And dedicaced as he is, with new keys and help ( seeds, etc) he could be maxed again in no time.
Tone down the drama, if Dole quit its a choice of his own.

^ This. What could have (reasonably) been done to help this situation has already pretty much been done. Going any further than that is risking upsetting other people in the process and creating more problems than the ones being solved. It surely sucks that he got everything smashed and his character killed, but I think the best thing to do from here is learn from past mistakes and move on, hopefully experiences like this can prevent further similar problems in the future (game development-wise).
And if anything, things like this only help to prove how much of a bunch of asshats some groups can be. Getting a cheap kill on dole in exchange for destroying their own reputation (and looking like a bunch of wusses in the process) is a trade that some could say was absolutely fucking retarded, but I don't suppose the group in question here minds that too much, which (arguably) just proves the retarded thing even further.

is that a trick question ? nobody would give a shit...

somehow I very much doubt that, especially if it's 30%

pfft id argue the opposite is true - caring about your "reputation" in a shitty online game like this is a lot more "retarded". These guys found a way to kill someone they dislike, get a bunch of free stuff and cause a bunch of forum drama in the process, that's arguably more fun than the usual afk grind of haven. Fun is the keyword here because this is a GAME in case some of u forgot :P

If it is the developers themselves, would you believe the same?

There's a huge difference between players and devs. Players have no obligation to give a shit about the success of game, whereas devs are getting paid to do so.

Haven is a small game so there are some players who act like it is their duty to ensure the well-being of the game, but it's annoying when such people assume everyone else is the same. I have no obligation nor incentive to report a bug I find, I might do it out of good will but if abusing it is simply more fun then I will do that instead. After all, fun is the only reason I am here (not that I have any connection to this case but the mindset is the same).
