Explain to me, what is the benefit of lawspeak to some one that does not form a village? Trying to learn here.

What about making it a toggle?

You can either rage -or- you can send nidbane (in the sense of a scent is dropping when someone assaults/batters/murders you).

So unlocking the ability to physically attack others would void the insurance.
This wouldn't stop you from defending yourself in case someone forces PvP on you. But in case you're able to 'invite' others into a fight this way of retaliation will be closed to you completely till the end of the character.

It's a step above yeomanry and shows some form of character development that actually falls in line with the general progression of the game

Hermit or not everyone should make a village idol on their base because otherwise you could just be claimed over at any time

I like this, prefer muder only, but I like this.

Thank you on the village claim info concerning lawspeak.

Yes you can, don't be silly. This "this is how haven always was and should be" thing is getting old.

A) where do I actually say this, and (Hint: I didn't, this is an issue with all f2p MMOs, but then that's why so many of them are so grindy or throw a ton of man-hours at customer service in attempts to stop it)

Wasn't targetting you specifically, but the community's trope of shutting down ideas with the usual "this is how haven is, can't or shouldn't be changed", apparently implied in that post.

B) how do you do it without throwing a ton of money at the problem? Instead of getting all pissy about some perceived point of view of other players, maybe try to make real concepts that can actually be implemented by a two man dev team that doesn't ruin the rest of the HnH experience.

I do dislike it when a mod makes categorical claims like that one, effectively discouraging further suggestions to curb alts (or belittling them, since many different solutions to alting have already been proposed and discussed on C&I and elsewhere). Anyway, you've already raised me a similar point once and I've already responded

Alts cease to be a problem not when they're at 0%, but when they're reduced to the point where they no longer influence gameplay and game development significantly.

He has a point that is not connected to his moderator function (you'll notice when a moderator moderates, in the meantime we're also users like you are except that we also take the trash out and clean the dishes) and his question how this should be dealt within the limits of available resources is both valid and unanswered.

I have not to form a village if one of my friends already have one. So I don't need lawspeaking

When a mod says "this is part of the game and can't be changed", he's discouraging discussion regardless of the role he is playing at that moment. What a mod says carries some level of officiality whether he wants it or not.

This question has already been answered, in different degrees and by different people. These threads come to mind but there are others around:
