jorbtar, u looked at the food and buffed those, but what about curios? many curios are never used because they are bad bad bad. Some could use a slight buff no?
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

The community has grown, yes, which means that even with casualties there's more people playing at the end of the world. That is a positive. I believe these changes will bring about a positive change in play experience, not a negative. People are just freaking out because they're changing what shouldn't be easy, to NOT be easy.

Played a ragnarok server a while ago where people where giving shitty ideas to make the server "better". 3 weeks later none of them played anymore and i had to watch the server wipe to death. Funny

Agreed, Jorb you shouldn't make changes like this without consulting Troll and co and getting their approval. This is after all their home.

Personally, I quit after like 3 or so months of building characters and traveling around finding nobody to fight (because rivers are devoid of people, lands are devoid of people except near some villages where you see people hunting for animals near their base just close enough so that they can run through their gates whenever trouble shows up). I'd like to think I'm pretty patient, I can boat around for hours and hours every single day just for the sole purpose of looking for people yet it rarely ever happens.
Then when the stars align and ''''PvP'''' does happen it's usually village A coming to village Bs gates with more men while half of village Bs members are asleep, so village B doesn't go out or they do some boring as fuck gate based PvP with them just hitting once then running back through their gate (visitor gate change won't do anything about this, now instead of people even messing around with gate pvp they just won't open the gate and aggro at all), then village A will get bored and return to their village, then a few hours later the village B has the bulk of its members wake up so now they go to village A's gates and the same shit happens there as what happened at their village.
God fuck that shit. I didn't even have the pleasure of dying this world before I quit and I fucking threw my character into a lot of stupid as fuck situations out of sheer impatience and bloodlust.
All I ever ask for and all that would be required for me to stick around indefinitely is getting into fun little skirmishes that actually amount to something every now and then but I just can't deal with going months of not seeing people far enough away from safety that they have to put some serious dedication into escaping or them just fighting back.
I don't think I've ever quit from losing a character, if I die I die at least that means I got into a fucking fight, I just build a new character up and pray that I can find another such encounter. Only time I stop is when that stops happening because that's my source of fun in the game. Its most definitely happened this world, I stuck with it for a long as fuck time until I woke up and realized that all I've done for the past month is make pies, cook pies, eat pies, go out looking for people, find nobody, make more pies, cook more pies, eat more pies, go out looking for people.

The travel shit is minor, I could go for teleporting everywhere or without it. I don't really give a shit either way, but if sieging is still virtually impossible for 99% of people and gates are still cucking people out of kills then nothings going to change for me. I will definitely play for a bit then drop the game if I can't find people to kill or kill me.
I'm also bias on the travel shit because I never bother going to trade hubs and I don't really give a fuck about socializing either.

I'm not sure where your numbers are coming from, the statistics looks pretty much the same since 2014 based on this thread. 100-300 average, new world population ticks up greatly, players get bored again 100-300 average, new world population ticks up greatly, players get bored again 100-300 average. Literally nothing has changed despite the many different attempts at various mechanic implementations.

im not speaking for myself only which should be clear here but i think i have a pretty good idea about the community of this game.. more than most people xd, and im not saying MY SUGGESTIONS SHOULD BE LISTENED TO OVER ANYONE ELSE, im saying that people make garbage suggestions for their own self interest and then quit while the rest of the actual active players who detest this shit are stuck with it. and i mean you made your account first, i can guarantee ive played more than you xd

do you really think the game should cater to people who dont even wanna play it????????????????
