While it's certainly true that W7 ran for very long and that world resets usually tend to come in quicker succession during more active development, I wouldn't speculate too much on that just yet only from this. We'll see what happens first.
While this change certainly wasn't intended, and won't survive into the next world, I don't think it necessarily breaks the world completely. We'll have to see what happens. Watching what a change such as this sets into motion could very well be a meaningful experience in itself.
Thank you for your reply. At the moment, as others have expressed similar opinions, it feels as though everything done from start of w8(okay i exaggerate, but stuff like butchering and whatnot, you get the idea) is moot, and if w8 has had its lifespan greatly shortened because of this, it would render any more efforts from this point forth worthless if its going to reset in a few months.
of course all this is barring the possibility that new brodgar and ainran gets together and starts going around destroying everyone to force a reset
