I think more likely no one would like that because they can't use a shield defensive maneuver?

It was just an example okay

It's not an example if it wouldn't work though is it? Sorry for being pedantic but that made no sense to me.

Gilding is lame but that's just my opinion, I think it's an incredibly boring implementation. Reminds of the completely RNG based upgrade/enhancement systems in other games like Black Desert or Archeage, get your gild, get your item, click a button and hope for the best.

Add to Parry maneuver "weight = MC* number of swords", solved.

Except blocking is x3? Seems strictly worse to me.

I failed to gild with a 40% chance 6 times in a row today, it sucks. Some people just have a really, really bad luck, including me xD I think there should be a way to open another gilding slot without the randomness.

I love gilding, but I /hate/ the affinity system.

The affinity system would be fine if there were a LOT of gildings, but a 4%-6% chance to gild just because they dpnt match? it's irritating

The problem posed if they DID do that is some items would simply have too many gildings, hence the best of both worlds is having slots scale with quality.

(I just really, really hate the affinity thing honestly, thus i will casually shill my suggestion viewtopic.php?f=48&t=49208 )

Except advantages of dual-wielding, if that was an actual implementation - there would be plenty to balance the huge advantage of Shield blocking.
