Animals do require a lot of food, the more animals, the more food.
However, I doubt that if animals eat less, this will solve the problem. You will simply get more animals to increase stats even faster and it would seem that you can simply introduce a statcap, but we have already been through this and the result was negative.
I will note that instead of fields, you can grow clover using mound bed. I tried to buy clover on the market, but nothing worked out. In any case, even beginners can grow clover. Remembering the 10th world, I would like to note that the quality in this world was not actually infinitely growing. The world ran into a quality limit and then it was overcome in various ways - new mechanics introduced in patches (Potter clay, animal bones from spitroast) and the discovery of infinite quality rock crystals. Probably, an unexpected change in balance for 2.5-3 months of the game can have a positive effect

I would note two problems in the game.
1 difficulty in obtaining information
2 cheap personal claim and village claim.

1. A huge number of events occur in the world, but we do not see many of them.
What if the siege and capture of the kingdom became events that were reported not only on the thingwall where it happens, but also in the nearby surrounding thingwall .

quests were created to pull people out of the villages, but will you be able to meet them?
What if all the quest trees were connected to the thingwall and improved only 9 spots connected to the thingwall .
(I believe that the number of possible quality increases per week will have to be limited, players in hnh do not know the measure, make it jumpy)
And you will not only be able to see what spots this thingwall has, but also how the development is going in this province.
If this is a popular place, you can always try to catch a quester or hunter who comes here to hunt.
There will be useful thingwall , there will be useless ones, someone will get threads, someone will get bones, and you will not only be able to stay on top by studying the map, but also get the desired communication by poking a new friend with a blade

Large villages are hard to besiege a lot of people use it not because they need space but because its a good protection , Flags stretched to resources or thingwall significantly complicate interaction with the outside world. When we have shield system no one do such thing.

Siege
I don’t know how and when it came to this, but now in the sandbox game, to protect your village, you need to go beyond the wall and fight.
Do you have a lot of resources and catapults? It doesn’t matter if the enemies have a 25-tile catapult and they shoot at the wall, your 25-tile catapult doesn’t reach the enemies.

You have a mandrake and the enemies left scents with the main characters, well, try calling on needbane, maybe he will fly into the attack, though it is unknown when, so most likely he will go into the attack alone and will not affect in any way.

if you don't have fighters but you have resources you should be able to destroy enemy siege machines, in a siege machine confrontation, otherwise what's the point of these resources
if your character is weak you should be able to use simultaneous attack with needbane. It was too strong in world 10, but now it's completely useless. Can you balance it.

Probably with some of my own friends who I'll tutor on the game. No big plans, but I'd like to give things a try after having been so long.

Hello!, I just wanted to say thanks a ton for your game, I have really enjoyed coming back to it after all these years. very excited to see what you have planned for the future and hope to continue to support you. It was very fun interacting with you in game@!!@@ (im also the one who gave u the troll helm) and so very wild that you took pictures of my claim there to the south of where we met!!! If you are interested in seeing possible better base locations i have a few around that might be of interest i would LOVE to show them off, also idk if you follow any in game nonsense but I work and help run the charity charter Viterra that has a lot of fun builds and art that would make for arguably better pictures for the steam page.
