I'd say it's unlikely they'll do a reset for just this. It would be better for them to minimize the damage, let the flawed world keep going and obtain some data on other "end game" points that haven't been hit yet to know what to watch out for next world. Or like you said, introduce some more experimental changes to see how people abuse/take advantage of and go from there.
