Love the game, I'm here since w3, but this "experiment" with hq metals sux. There will be to to big gap for hermits/smal groups comparing to big factions - only because q of ores. Atm I don't see much sense in playing in this world.

Any chance to reconsider adding this change in less rush way like it was added now? I mean, many animals will die before people can even log in... and time is ticking, fast.

There's no perfect solution, I understand that. For sure it is Alpha. For sure shit happens from time time. Just don't "hide" behind "it's just an alpha, you should love it as it is", please.
Ok, bug happened. After all there was two ways to handle it: restore from 3-days backup or leave unbalanced formula work on live server. First choice is one-time disaster. Second choice will be with us until the end of the world. "It's just an alpha" you would say... Oh, wait.

P.S. Anyway You do a great job, thanks for that.

i think monday backup is a best way.
its better than fully wipe. we lost only 4 day. and not lost 2 moth of prospecting, diging for quality search.

In my opinion atm there are 2 solutions: 1) roleback - asap (with less food needed for animals) 2) new world
For long time it would be better...

Hate this. I was already growing a bit bored, now I genuinely see no point logging in.
Quality grinding is basically what the late game is, I can already see how my experience of the next week or two of playing will play out. I'll go looking for a high Q metal node, since the world is massive I'll find one, no question. I'll also find a coal node. I'll make rediculously high Q metals, I'll also use that coal to burn bricks and improve all buildings that use them, I'll create far higher Q food and pump my stats at the same time.
Once I reach the point where my Q levels have plateaued I'll realize that there's no Q grinding to be done other than crops/tree, but trees aren't really important now because I've mined the coal I need, but I'll have the pots from burning with that coal if I want to, even though they take a month+ to mature and probably stunt.
Crops won't really matter to me anymore anyway because I'm cooking pies with Q(rediculous) ovens.
I'll get bored and quit.

Haven is an awesome game, the early game is thoroughly enjoyable and draws you in so completely. The mid-game is pretty fun, hunting your nodes, getting established, building up to a plateau Q wise. Late game is rubbish, basically push that plateau by increasing Q slowly and steadily in a linear grind, maybe raid some people, maybe get raided.

This "experimental" fuck up pushes everyone to late-game far quicker and breaks what little enjoyment late-game provided in one fell swoop, it so negatively influences the game that I can't even express it entirely.
Should have been a rollback, people would have lost 2-3 days, not 2-3 months.

Those numbers are higher than they were, but that was as such intended. I don't think that looks completely unreasonable.

I've seen worse, but, again, I'm not sure it need be the end of the world.

It doesn't need to be the end of the world, just give people the chance to save their animals :)

would you care to share your reservations with regards to a rollback to monday?

this is actually a sentiment that is mirrored by me and many others. from a utilitarian perspective, 2-3 days lost is much palatable as compared to 2-3 months lost

I'm probably not going to play til world reset. Lost all the will when our huge push for q for the last couple months just became pointless. Might be nice with a break anyways.
