In our cave on the first level the quality of the ore is still 10. In addition, it became twice as difficult to mine it (pickaxe).

the late game grind starts when what you craft hits the quality ceiling of natural resources. this is just the ceiling pushed higher than what we are used to. i think it would be fun to find out if the conventional quality ceilings were really the only range to allow us to have fun with or not. we can all speculate whats gonna happen, and i think itd be better to save your "i told you" or "i knew it" phrase till later.

The biggest effect this has is that black coal is far higher quality than fuel from trees will be for the foreseeable future, and probably will always be better than the fuel trees can make in tar kilns. It's really strange, but it's different and interesting and will be fun to play with :P

THERE ARE FEW OPTIONS IMO

1. Reduce effectiveness of ores by 2x. I mean q 10 works as q 5, q 100 as q 50. Nothing game breaking, q 50 ores. Better than q 100. Destroy all q50+ iron related items like tools, ores and stuff.
3. Rollback is a horrible idea imo. Too late.

How did you get from option 1 to option 3? I demand to know what option 2 is!

Pretty much got the RNG fuck-over...again. My ore with the uber formula is a whopping 10/10/22...yay me!

Debating whether to bother continuing to play.

With that attitude you won't get anywhere in this game. Go prospect! There's plenty of good ore to be found, and mining is easy now.
