People have said this since i started playing 7 years ago, and I've still never understood what they meant by this, What benefit has permadeath added to the game?

I've only seen the downsides, And I've never lost a character i truly cared about.

We ended up with that, anyway, because we couldn't destroy bodies at one point. I'm not 100% sure it was Koreans that did it or someone that was "faking it" (knew Korean or was using a translator), but there is a screenshot I think jorb keeps archived of people walling off a cave with a good hundred or more alts. I don't recall all the details of the original post, but I can only imagine how bad it could be if you couldn't at least kill the alts and deal with the bodies after.

It added the benefit of this game being permadeath. There's almost no games like this and it makes you way more connected with your character, as well as making pvp competitive and simple things like foraging exciting. I've died many times, also when I was a huge noob and I don't think because I have less time now or whatever one of core mechanics needs to change for everyone.

They can jerk off at griefing others. My guess it's either a kind of SM or they're retarded and havn't grown up yet.

Bottom line: We should do away with any form of inheriting then.

Gear loss is a bigger concern than stat loss from death atm

We could psychoanalyze it till we're blue in the face and still be missing the mark. You can't really change a person, but you can get them to bend your way with the right application of force. ;)

Haven is a great and beautiful game, I am very proud of it, and I enjoy working on it, and I hope you all will continue to enjoy playing it! We are very grateful to everyone who has supported us in any capacity, ever, and hope only to continue to deliver whatever value you have found with us in the past.

We can't let UrW beat us.

Happy New Year's!

It certainly is a beautiful game! I have appreciated the addition of everything ... buildable. It has also been refreshing to have regular updates, and playing a game that felt "being worked on". I will certainly be back for the next world, even if that will be just to buy some game tokens in support of the development. I am one of those players that lose interest to commit with these world resets. I still want to contribute though, I just simply love this game.

Have you considered kickstarter or something equivalent? I know red thread games did that with great success. Something to consider when you know how the end game will look like in a stable world.

Happy New year to all players as well.

I've never felt more unconnected with a character, than I am with my 10 alts, which permadeath has made a necessity

In what way does it make pvp competitive, 80% of pvp is outnumbering your enemy 3 to 1

I'm not saying that i want it gone because i don't have time for the game, I'm saying I want it gone, because i want this game to become unshackled from a sentimental punishment that has done nothing but hinder it.
