Why wouldn't be 5$ /mo enough? Nearly everyone would be completely fine with that...

I have a lot of thoughts and impressions swirling for sure, but, no. I am not particularly bothered.

You should be bothered though, this is probably the biggest moment of your careers and those stand at a crossroads, but the way you're going right now will be bad for the future. If Haven fails as it is now, based god forbid, putting out a new game and having it be successful will be nigh impossible. People talk, and if they talk loud enough, others hear. They will not say good things, and that will ruin credibility. And people will share screenshots from here that will damage your company's reputation further down the line with how you acted (Although at some points, it was deserved since half the community can't even be constructive about it), as well as some potential employment opportunities. This is not a good route to go Jorb, I'd say everyone should just go and relax for the night and come back tomorrow when the initial shock has worn off, so we can have calm discussion.

Just fucking answer the actual question... You got something to hide?

Perhaps it would be! I can't claim to know where the optimal price level is. This is an attempt at finding out.

You do realize he said he has lots of thoughts right, I take that to mean he doesn't have a definitive answer yet. Although who knows maybe you'd prefer him to just do what ever pops in his head first instead formulate a better plan.

In Siberia, I need to sell my little brother to buy 1 month of playing Hafen, seriously. 15$ is an option for the game which is on a good level of content/stability already, but not for this. 5$ is maximum.

funny how some people lied back before haven 2 came out that they would even pay if it came out and now its out all of u rage? whats the logic behind this :?

Some us that made such statements also stated that we would be willing to pay a one time fee. There are those that cannot afford subs no matter how cheap. (Although if they tried talking instead of throwing temper tantrums they might be heard better)

Just because someone has no money doesn't mean they don't work.
Just because someone hasn't paid doesn't mean they don't want to.
Those who believe otherwise need more "REAL LIFE" experience

Vertine wrote:My guess is that if J&L wanted to charge $5/month they would. And if they find in due time that the current pricing structure is too expensive, they adjust. But if enough people actually pay under the current pricing scheme, then in effect there's no reason to make it cheaper. Sometimes in economics you find out how much something is worth by charging different prices for it.

In economics, it is also sometimes more profitable to lower a price so more people buy the product. Let's say, extreme case but brings the point best, a console is sold for 2000$, not many people will buy it, but lets say 4 do. What would be more profitable, 4 people buying a product for 2000$, or thousands buying it for 400$?

Will get you far in life! You've only killed the last two games you worked on now, surely the future holds better for you!

Another large percentage is in the game playing, rather than out on the forums being angry. I'd like to think that the former input is also valuable and interesting.

Alright, I'm part of the people who has been playing for 2 hours now. I really like the game, it's prob the best MMO I every played. But this handling of the payment method really killed everything. I just simply can't understand how you could not think of discussing this before with the community.

You guys should sleep after a good jobs day, I assume you guys been hard at work the entire day. And when you wake up I think you should reconsider to discuss the model and perhaps do something about it before it maybe kills your community entirely.
