But the price is too high for the game in its current state, games like WoW, EVE, FF14, etc offer 15$ subs, with more content, more players, stable servers, and aren't in alpha

I would've payed a one time fee or tried it out at some point but why buy stuff from some one who insults customers and doesn't care about thier opinions? Best of luck to Loftar, he's not so bad. I hope you get the kinks worked out.

To be fair the name calling and the sniping and the attitude problems all started with others on the forums. I am actually impressed he has managed to hold on to his temper. I know many people including myself who would have gotten angry and said things much, MUCH worse. And Jorb has actually appologized for sounding like he was upet when that wasn't his intention.

There are 956 hearthlings playing.

yea roughly 1000 people currently playing on their free time

Still, why would you play a game at all if you knew you were only going to have it for a while and not pay to play it after that time was over?

probably for fun m8
It is nice to rest your weary bones from time to time. It is nice to lay down your burdens. It is nice to have a seat.

I disagree, I love the game and will gladly pay every month for it, because I enjoy it, its not about the state of the game its whether or not you enjoy it that should matter, the game is eternal alpha, so if your saying they dont ever deserve it by adding that, your wrong, I gave my opinion. Its a fair price for me and people like me and as a fellow dev I am surprised they have hosted it for 8-ish years FREE

Who are you?
Two Swedish university dropouts, Fredrik Tolf and Björn Johannessen, who decided to create a game to our liking in our spare time while we were still Swedish university students. This lead to a wild ride of varying game development spanning over eight years and three projects, until we arrived at this junction where we now find ourselves. We hope you will like it.

dropouts
they prob have to get the money to pay back loans

Literally was about to subscribe but then I read the forums. Why are the devs so damn snarky? It's like arguing with a child it seems.

Or to see if you will actually enjoy it or the changes that were made to it.
