LOL
I did not said to revert the change.
The gap will be defined in a different way but it will be there, with much less chance to close without stuff to trade for, except tokens/hats.
Do your homework and read forum about trading issues and tokens.

It is because now spiralling metal requires hq cast iron to maximize result of q increase. Value of a cast bar lower by 20% than the top smelted q will be some 10 times lower.
There will be no reason to buy iron from lower level players.

Edit:

Here you are.

all you did by selling your cast was make the richest people even more richer. metal spiraling was overlooked for far too long good riddance
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

That's how it has to be, no one does trade to get poorer.
You can say the same about trading blueberries, chantrelles, wax, pearls, bricks / whatever. Yet trading hard earned stuff to get a better equipment is a way to go for less advanced players.

Good thing, probably bricks will be worth something tin W12.

Yeah and when is that gonna happen? Only a week left and if they already "reconsider" these changes, there still might be some changes that have to be done. If they only lower the vulnerability window from 8h to 4h for example it's not gonna fix anything.

When they post something, we'll have something to discuss. Nobody said the reset date has to be on the 3rd. I hope that, if things don't get ironed out, they push the reset back a week or two. I know people will be upset over that if they do as people do make room in their schedules for these things, but better to get the game right, I think, as it sets a pace for the next many months.

It's not quite been a full week yet since the post went up. I say give a few more days before more pitchforking and barn burning, anyway. ;)

I know I'm taking a 10-day vacation for launch. Thankfully my boss (that'd be me) is pretty flexible about these things.

jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

i just did some testing on a noob with regards to early world starting. in all previous worlds at the beginning it was never a good idea to just eat every single thing around you... however i just spawned a character and ate a stack of apples... I gained 5 con levels and my red apple satiation jumped to 71%... however i could continue to just eat ever single berry, fruit and chicken in sight probably since there is nothing really stopping me anymore.and once ive done consuming half th continent i could just move onto fish and animals. i think we are going to see people hit 100 attributes in the first 24 hours honestly... i am a little worried that the early game experience that everyone loves will be over in a week.

I'm no pro, but there were those changes middle of the world that changes up early world eating habits.

But yeah, wasting a lot of hunger on low FEP:hunger foods may be very detrimental. It depends on the person's play time.

well i have done my testing and i think its possible. it would require a special diet and probably people helping you collect but a village attempting to make a miner should be able to do it.
