regen the map and wipe the world out today !

Normally there are over 200 people playing right now. Currently there are only 87.

Because the end of the world means its pointless to play.

While there are some who will want to say goodbye and treat it like a party, 2 weeks is a long time for the general population to stagnate and have no real purpose for logging in. I'm all for the reset and whatever changes come with it, but I'd personally like to see the new map come up as soon as possible. I'm excited and want to start again right now. If the new map could be ready along with the changes by next week I'd be very stoked.

remember that anyone who wants to build this thing can do it, as long as they can get their hands on the materials. it's not hard for me to imagine someone wanting to troll the game and having a reset every 2 months, just for the lolz ¦]

remember too that the world doesn't have to end, just find the altar and destroy it. it can't be claimed, and walls will be losing their soak in a week.

I might be so bold as to point out that it is, in fact, not a foregone conclusion that the altar will actually complete. Two weeks may be a long time to wait for a world reset, but it is not a lot of time if you think about it from the mechanical standpoint of planning a counter-attack on the altar.

Thanks!

if i may make a suggestion though for next time, the materials for the altar could be anything and it would barely slow down some people. the silk cloth and pearls and gold and metals and stuff are just a minor hurdle for the hardcore group, ultimately.

how about a collection of artifacts or relics or some shit, hidden throughout the world, that have to all be found and brought together to build the altar?

Yeah, I know. We'll see what we do with it for the next world. Here I am mostly interested to see if the altar completes or not.

I see how that upsets you. Maybe give subscribed players 2 weeks of free subscription or sth.?

I have the same issue. I bought a simple sub for the unlimited game play hours a week ago and now I have no reason to log in to the game. I don't expect compensation as its just part of the alpha element. Its just a annoyance that I cant make use of the full sub time.

Actually the only day that really matters is the very last one, if that were tomorrow it'd make no difference to most people that want to either destroy the altar or put their own character in it. I certainly won't bother trying either until it's close to the end anyways.

simply put a counterattack won't be possible with ram mechanics if anyone is active in the base (far too easy to destroy rams if someones watching the altar)

your best chance is to get in when soak is gone, but by then you have ~24 hours to deal 50000 while also being under siege by everyone defending the altar, not a very simple task

it would be better if, say, the soak of the walls near the altar decayed much sooner (at the end of the first week 0 soak) than other walls

assuming you broke in and managed to damage it 3 times a day perfectly, you'd deal around 4500/per day for ~6 days, dealing maybe around 40% of the altar's total health, where now you'd have to rush for the final 60% during the last 12 hours

maybe increase the maximum damage dealt per 8 hour period?

also making a big thread soon i hope you look at it

Idk about that, dude. Soak drops off on the walls during the last week.

But, sure, arguably you can't deal enough damage per 8 hour period, perhaps.

lets be honest jorb. Who the fuck can go beat the guy on the alter. Especially when the altar is not destroyable until 12 hours before completion. Not to mention the POWER player that controls the alter. I( have no intention of wasting 2 weeks to go try to beat a stat pounder. Is there anyone that does plan to try that?

Does anyone have the stats to stop him?

from what I have read about the alter we can only do 1500 max damage then it can not be damaged for 12 hours. so even if we do the max damage and do not get killed by the people that are defending it, get through the stone walls that are probably protecting it, it has 50k hp. and can not be destroyed until the timer reaches a certain point.

SO what the hell is the point of this again? to give us time to stop it?

So even if you damage the alter before and prep it, there is nothing to stop them from repairing it and defending it only for the last few hours when it can be destroyed. So the point of dragging it on is exactly what?
