It is also an option not to use it and not a single game which I bought used regional pricing, it being an option doesn't make steam fair toward people in poor countries, since the option to NOT have regional pricing exists as well, and it's being used by the majority of devs
one american might think $15 for csgo is no big deal, but here it's a significant amount of money (about 3 lunches for a whole family could be had with $15, not to mention the fact that people with average jobs just don't have extra money to spend on things that are not mandatory here)
Sure there's games that have regional pricing, but my point stands, as there's also games that don't
