Not 100% sure, but that is how I understand... read it yourself :)

this actually made me kind of depressed - 5 years of playing the game, the last 2 years filled with hype over the new version, and the new version makes me unable to play both unless i wanna play like 15 mins per day

Verify your Game Account in exchange for, precisely, a one time consideration of $15. With a Verified account you receive...

I am getting connection refused atm but I was able to log in a few hours ago. I'm not sure if it is the messing around I have been doing on my comp or if the game is off atm.

I would probably pay, I can't decide because I still don't know what I have to buy!!!!!

The cheapest way would be to buy a 30 day sub for $10 which says unlimited playing time for the new version but doesn't say anything about Legacy! I don't want to pay $15 for acc veri to be able to play legacy with limited hrs on new version if I can get unlimited hrs on the new version for $10 .... obviously. And I will need two accounts active to play legacy so the price difference increases.

So ..... lol ..... just waiting for some kind of clarification from the devs, since last night ......

IMHO playing legacy is just a little "plus" in selling hafen ... and auth verification seems the only option if you want to play on "legacy" in w7 ...

"you can't have one without the other" ... bad bizmodel anyway ...
