This just encourages more tendrils when building realms. It is kind of pointless wasting authority on cairns when they are not going to be able to pay themselves back.
In that regard, it sort of seems like a bad direction to go into. I thought you guys wanted to encourage more complete expansion of areas.

That could be a legit point. Will consider that.

Yes.
abt79 wrote:And you don't see this as a problem?

Not really. If you have a ship, you usually wouldn't have a problem getting away from them.

There is one thing forgotten here: when people jump out from knarr they can block and bash rawboats, dugouts. Attacking and bashing something while swimming in deep water should be not possible.

I am not wed to the Ship changes, but, again, you can still fire ranged weapons at ships.

maybe you're right, it's on the players now to test out the change and figure out what works and what doesn't. i can think of dozens of times the devs have had to make changes on the fly to fix something that sweaty nerds have broken and used for exploits, and i'm sure there will be some new 'boat meta' from this change. people will just have to explore it and keep posting their findings

Maybe use a sort of minesweeper like mechanic in defining realm expansion cost, where cost is decreased if there are more connected borders around the realm Authority object being built? Ie: initial cost high, but if filling in space between 2 there's a 25%/50% authority decrease? I'm just spitballing here and people with actual experience in expanding realms would know more but...

Discounted cost of attacking and cutting off tendrils/ causing tendrils to cascade fall would probably be the most effective way to counter the effect actually.

NOONE asked you to change the pots - remove this change. Stop trying to make gardeners' life even more painful. go on and make this fucking credo by yourself - maybe then you'll realize these ppl suffered enough.
REVERT THE G-POTS capacity!!!

For noobs (and devs, obviously) -every time you replant herbs in pots you use better mulch from fertilizers. and no one will be happy to accidentally put 5th current mulch and ruin the whole 3 cycles. this is not QoL-change. it's just another pain-in-the ass change from "we don't play our game" devs. stop it. please

I heavily disagree on this one.
Some faster growing plants will need less work since you can just wait for the 3 cycles easily.

Better mulch will only yield a very very marginal gain. 1/20 q from mulch will go to the end product, so if you use 40q higher mulch you will only gain 2q on your spice/herb.. Barely anything, especially for cooking ingredients that will again be averaged with water, flour, oven whatever you will use.
