Your thread has been an inspiration to shitposters everywhere on this forum! (Or at least this shitposter.)

After making the shockingly bad decision to read all 50ish pages of this thread, I figure I should leave something for posterity.

1. Way too many people have way too many opinions on the pay system. Jorbtar want to monetize the game better, and there probably is no way to do that without trial and error. I mean, they could probably do some hard research with the data they already have to get a better idea of what would work, but I don't expect they have the skill set to do that effectively.

2. W9 has been (was) objectively better than W8. I can only imagine how things would have gone if they skipped W8 entirely, and Hafen started at this point.

3. Only Jorbtar have the data needed to determine whether marketing the game in various ways makes sense. Only they know how much revenue it produces, how many people log in only once, subscribe, etc. It is entirely hot air for anyone else on the planet to have an opinion on it.

4. The only substantive thing I have to add is that Granger, and several others, are correct: Jorbtar need to make some way to transition new players into the game. Why not create some Valhalla-like tutorial world accessible from the creation room? And for the love of Carl XVI Gustaf pay someone, if necessary, to create some documentation to help players start out. The community just can't, or won't, do it, and it is quite unfair to expect them anyway.

8-)
4.

Wouldn't you think that long time players with loads of contacts to different players (especially noobs and players that gave up early) might have some insights the devs don't have ( or even doesn't consider) ?!?

The different tutorials (-Sevenless!!!, Jordans ProTips, Teck ...) and the RoB Wiki led most players very well - i never ever met a noob that asked for an ingame tutorial after getting known to player made RoB Wiki and Tuts (most told me they got the browser with RoB Wiki open all the time) ... and the messy state Rob Wiki is in isn't the players or the hoster/admins/mods fault ... but that of a very bad timing and ugly information policy some time ago ... (and by the way what you say doesn't sound very thankful ;) )

Make "Haven & Hearth" available on steam? :shock:
Oh shit then we might need another server by that time, people might start flooding World 10.

Front page of the wiki needs to be cleaned/updated so newbies don't have to sift through so much useless out of date info.

It's a protected page, so be sure to include what changes need to be added/removed. I'll also include my regular plug for people to gather data and information to keep it updated. Even if you can't really edit it to make it all nicely formatted, others can, and it's easier if the information is already there than if the editor has to look it up in game or compile charts to make something sensible. This goes for anyone that can write in English and is playing Haven.

Last I'll say on it here. Please use the thread borka linked.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Trapping, small game traps, bear traps, human traps. Visible ones, so it wouldn't turn into minefield.

// Quality soft-caps animals

/// This trap kills them
Small string trap
8x Any String
2x Branch
Image

/// Catches them alive
Small cage trap
1x Bone glue
4x Any String
10x Branch

// Some fish stuff
/// Shrimps ftw
Shrimp trap
Image

/// Funnel fish trap
Image

/// Not a trap but a tool
Lobster pot
8x Bough
8x Any String

We're on the fence about tri-quality in general, but are strongly considering removing it entirely, in favor of a one-dimensional quality -- As in Legacy -- quite simply, with an eye toward potentially introducing other quality mechanics down the road. Feel free to opine on the subject.

Sad to hear that, 'cause i like quality system to be more complex and flexible. It has a good potential, don't kill it, pl0x!

Salem's "alchemy-style" system was nice too - no matter what salem-haters say.

Personally i would like to suggest two more things for World 10:

1. Don't let the map generator turn the entire world into river-world once again. No, i like Finland, but in World 9 it's really too much of rivers and lakes. Some wide wastelands and forests would be nice too.

2. Combat system is a bit too complex at the moment. Even for someone like me who was here for few worlds already, it takes time to understand. It would be nice to make it a little less complicated or just to make a simple introduction into it for newbies.

As always - sorry for my EngRish and thank you for your great work.
