Imagine the profit they could earn if they decided to focus on the PVE part that's actually fun and scrap the PVP part that isn't fun

Sure, it must be really fun playing a survival game with basically zero danger of dying. Let's make a PvE world where you don't even need to build palisades or walls anymore, because PvP is forbidden and nobody can attack or rob you anyway. We'll just spend our time upgrading the quality of our crops, animals and food forever, because obviously it's incredibly fun to level the quality of my carrots from 10 to 500. Let's have absolutely zero sense of danger when you leave your base. You can even go AFK in the middle of the forest, because nobody is going to show up.

Some of you have a really weird idea of what a survival game is. You keep complaining all the time, and the funny thing is, they've already "casualized" the game massively compared to the early worlds. At this point, you'd have to be seriously clueless to die. It's practically impossible for someone to kill you unless you really screw up.

To siege a base, you need two full days of having no life and being in a village with several players. They've made it so hermits and small bases with 1-3 players basically can't attack each other because of how tedious the whole process is. Only large factions with 20+ players who can take turns being online and keeping an eye on the Thingwall and siege machines can realistically afford to try sieging someone. And even then, hardly anyone does it anymore because the whole system basically discourages you from doing it.

I guess some people have this weird need to turn every game into some kind of theme park like WoW, where the only PvP left is instanced and completely artificial. There are plenty of games on the market that cater to that playstyle, but you still have to come here and try to ruin one of the few games that still has some degree of permadeath, full loot and open PvP.

So yeah, stop trying to turn this game into a farming simulator.

Please don't post the patch notes moments before the patch goes live. Post it now. :|

I can dream can't I? But yes, many changes would have to be made for it to work. Would have to be way more focus on making PVE fun. Also I'm all for death to remain and be even more punishing than it is today.

Any movement in any of these directions can make this game boring.
But I play what they give me, the developers are trying to do something, I am bribed by frequent innovations in the game and I am trying to get used to them.
In any case, I will reach "my carrot 500q", but no further, so it is also boring, the problem here is not only in pvp.
But when at the end of the world there are only 100 pvp players and a carrot 500q, then there is no one left to attack (And there is no one to live for and for what).
Creating two servers, for pvp and pvp to see how it will be (I agree, as a dubious decision) makes sense.
There are many other solutions, such as pvp/pvp zones on one server, etc.
I think that many pvp players will feel the lack of excitement and return to the normal world, as well as those who get tired of pvp (for whatever reason), but it will be too late (at least by next wipe).
But if I wanted to go outside my house thinking I might get killed, I don't need to go into H&H).
I take it you're on the side of keeping things as they are?

They should actually do the opposite and make a PvP world.
Make it as stupid as possible. No walls. Tiny map. No logging out. All crime skills unlocked by default.
Give every character some debuff that kills them after a week so you can't hide in a cave and secretly get ahead.
Just make progression short instead of grinding for months.

I think some players would absolutely love it.

Those of you who want PvE HnH, go check out Bit Craft. It's not that much fun.
