Games in Alpha, or eternal alpha arent concrete, you should always keep in the back of your mind a drastic change can come, this game is experimenting to find its niche. Your sub will carry over to the next iteration, to what I think will be a much healthier world.

for too long we have lived for the sake of experimentation. and not to see pay2win

"Significantly reduce the size of the world with the new map."

I think one of the best features of H&H w8 was the gigantic world where you could find your very own place, in 6 months in w9 new players will find a base every 0.01 steps

Why would botters be mad? They will be able to create dozens of stat-capped characters which still gives them advantage, especially in numbers wins based combat system.

if they do that, theyll have to pay for each said account to reach the cap.

and if they do, at least its more money in the developers pocket :D

Interesting changes. It's going from Pay to Play (for any reasonable amount of time) to pay to be able to compete at a high level. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. Now players can at least play and try stuff after they've lost the desire to pay, might keep the world more active and more interesting.

Not a fan of the stat caps but it might be okay.

It would be more in line with previous worlds, rather.

You might also want to consider changing the caps so that free players don't hard cap resource nodes then find.

i don't know, as a new player, i was getting really excited for this game, i paid the subscription and stuff... but i was not specting for a world reset right now, funny i was kind of happy because i FINALLY managed to tame a cow, and then i see the game is going to restart in 3 minutes for updates and then i thought great! New stuff, then i get a slap in the face and discover things were for nothing, can't we just get to keep the stats? I don't know i just fell i trew money away. A lot because i'm from Brasil and the dolar is fucking high right now, anyway... I don't think i'll be playing again. But thankyou for the experience, it was quite a unique game you guys had. Thanks for the experience. ;)

Think at all, rather. 200 point stat and quality caps wtf let's give a big round of applause to Potjeh, thanks Potjeh.

I was going to say except Potjeh in my comment above ... :P

200 is way too low, 500 would be better but still not sure I like it at all.

What would be better, though? I'd like to point out that this also seems to be the same model that Wurm uses.

Might be a stupid idea, but...

Make it so that you can go past the cap you've paid (or not) for, but stats/skills slowly decay over time, always 'stabilizing' on your cap. That way you can reward people that are constantly studying by letting them keep their stats more or less higher than their caps, makes botting harder and creates some sort of "LP Sink" that will make huge non-sensical stats crazy difficult to attain. (and keep!)

Also, the higher the stats, the faster the 'decay', to the point that ultra huge stats could be like a temporary buff that one would apply to themselves by spending a lot of LP/food but would decay in a couple hours. The 'threshold' for that could be Palibashing amounts of strength, for example - so palibashing could still be a thing but it would cost a temporary 'buff' to stats that one would have to spend a lot of food for each 'palibashing session'.
