I have never spoken to the devs about the name, but I wasn't looking forward to possibly living in a realm that's a dead game meme. Edgy l0l racism realm neither. But more than anything, plz god no emojies in realm names.

This shouldn't even have been posted, the day Kotaku or Polygon see a game dev offer a response like that will be a real shame. I can see the headline of such an article already, "Player Population bad -- White Pride good". It makes the meme even greater - by changing the name Player Population you mostly just prove the point the realm name represented, that the devs stay so out of touch with what the players really want to see.

I don't think trolling people is a good stance for devs to take. Otherwise, why not nuke a random village every update? Haha, ur village is gone. U mad? Epic win xD xD
Or maybe a random village could be renamed "I like farts" every update and we could laugh at the villagers because they're clearly fartsniffers. Or characters could randomly have their name changed. You wake up one morning and whoops, your top warrior is now called little sissy baby. Hilarious xD
