maybe you just shouldnt be able to initiate combat relations if you or the target is on a ship? i dunno what im talking about

That is true, but of course these people who go around in knarrs killing noobs (which 90% of player population consists of) don't want their fun ruined.

But I agree that the current fix is kind of stupid. Why not make it so only captain can attack from boats?

Knarr combat is cancer but the counterplay is to just run inland smh

The real change to boats should have been to allow the driver to attack normally while the passengers could not. Knar combat was scary because 10 people could hit you with stings/cleaves instantly, 1 attacker is manageable

Blanketing the restrictions across all boaters just makes the game worse for everyone

Well, frankly, the idea was that it's kind of weird that you can attack from 15 meters away just because you're on a knarr, and if that's the idea, there should be no exception for the helmsman. I also didn't mind shutting down knarr hunting. As Jorb already said, though, it's not like we're strictly against making that change, but I don't think this situation is broken enough that we can't wait until the next patch and see how it plays out. Initial complaints are often overstated.

You guys just made this retarded change over a few spruce caps who could have died to 1 person easily. This is just another retarded change in the name of nerfing bots that just makes the game worse, so grats on that.

You also just made it so the only realistic way to kill whales is to cheese them considering they have 150 armor. I actually don't even know what you guys are thinking
