I think we should be able to have a forum for ideas discussion without it being a cesspool. Call me a dreamer.

Not til there's new moderators, and frankly you shouldn't really pick anyone that's currently active as a moderator- just wait til the new world and hopefully find better faces there. MAYBE coles would be okay.

If the new moderator becomes inactive after two months that would be a problem as well. Someone who is always active is preferable.

Always is a bit of a strong word there, especially unpaid/rewarded. I'll rephrase it for you, "more often than Jorb". Unless he's back in the saddle for a good while, since a few days ago, that bar is much lower than you think!

It isn’t official and that discord is mostly dead. It is moderated to your biased standard and not the community standard. Also, you can do threads in chat rooms on discord and there is plenty of needed structure. Not sure what you are going on about here. You just want to promote your own discord which people won’t use anyways. Except maybe jalpha…

Most people don’t even give real ideas in the C&I and use it for a post count booster anyways. You included.

A lot of communities include support discords and forum discord along side their forums. Not sure why hafen has to lack in this regard because it really is falling behind. Note the PhpBB in the footer…

At the same time, i can completely understand why the devs would want nothing to do with an official discord server given how toxic the unofficial ones have turned out.
