That's not true, though. Subscription can, as stated, be had for $6/mo.

That's only if you commit to paying $72 from the get-go.
A lot of people can't afford to pay for that, especially when the game hasn't even been out for a week.
It's like getting a gym membership to a gym that's still getting built and has to close down every so often for repairs.

Perhaps. I guess we figured we'd present everything as a package deal, so people could actually hold the game up and get an idea of its worth before entertaining that discussion.

Well it's been two years of development for our eyes only, so the start is of course going to have some downtime while we iron out kinks and stress test.

Come back in a year and try it then if that's not your thing, maybe?

I'd like to point out that -- speaking of having money down -- we've spent two years on this thing without seeing a nickle.

There are 841 hearthlings playing. Among these, there are 298 from Russian Federation, 173 from Poland, 66 from Ukraine

Thank god there is audience from the richest countries. They will pay 10$ - 15$ per month after 48 hours of initial play time, no shit.

That's really just not a fair statement. 6/month is true, but at a commitment of 72 bucks. A commitment that implies that

A). The game's gonna be around in a year.
Yeah, it probably is.

B). The game's natural economic progression won't mean their character gets wiped every day, a year from now.
This got pretty bad in W7. Anyone who died to players probably died to the same list of 16~ people. It was BAD.

C). The game will be updated.
Given that's extremely implied. Of course you guys updated the engine so future updates are easier. That's a reason you guys gave when Hafen was announced.

D). The price won't go down later.
Anyone who pays that $6 a month at $72 total is gonna feel RETAAAAAAAAAARDED if the price goes down later. Considering it's the first solution that got talked about, a lot of people probably feel bad for having put money down at all.

Those are all just average consumer expectations. Some could be unreasonable, but they're all average expectations.

And if you keep telling people to go away, you're not going to see much more than a nickle.

Maybe your initial stress testing and expected breakage week shouldn't count for people's hours.
Maybe you should lay out your roadmap for people so they have some idea of what is coming and can help them justify spending money on what (right now) appears to be a broken mess.

There's a lot of things you can do here other than just tell people to go away.

The package deal is perfect IMO. Quality over quantity is the way to go let's not go too low in price.

This is already the case, though. Paid time only ticks while the server runs, and that is always going to be the case, not just now at the start.
