The gift packages were OP, but combined with the wipe they're sadistic.

For this exact reason the gift packages were my biggest clue that a reset was imminent.

I actually loved the idea of the chance of a tangible reward, though--the gift boxes were the thing that got me to even consider touching the quest system. Before that I ignored & hid them, but I was all about them gift boxes.

I'd love to see quests add a chance to receive an item--basically anything from the giftbox loot table, but just one of them. If I had a rare but nonzero opportunity to receive a box of matches or a tin soldier or something, I know I'd definitely quest more often.

Gilding leafs are the current random item quests give, never fully used one for very long lol. They are random about what affinities they have and stats.

I would love if other random items (like rare crops ect....) wear added.

I agree. That's something that would add more interest in questing. I did them anyway just to get outta the house when I got bored with just farming or if it felt mundane to terraform my area (which I never did finish :( ) .

I know that until the paranoia system is up i won't get back. I won't mind some pvp, but atm the system is based only on how much agoraphobic you are, so you won't have many problems in turtling inside a base and never go out because you can be killed by the first pvp insane botter outside even if you are not actually playing.
