For someone with "Enjoyment" as a handle, that's an awfully pessimistic outlook

No reason for a reset on that, no reason for a reset on this. People need to enjoy the game as it is. World resets are just a mess of everyone trying to figure out where they want to settle and who everyone else is, where it's "safe" and where you're likely to get horribly ganked.

Nobody is expecting that. No idea why you'd even suggest it. The point of the rewrite is to optimize the code so it'll run on a broader range of systems at a reasonable frame rate. A reasonable frame rate is 15 on the bottom, 25-30 on the top. If you want faster, full HD video speeds, you go drop money on a higher end video card.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Actually, world reset is also a joy of discovery, exploration which faints over the time that the world exists. Hopefully, one day it will be addressed by means of seasons with randomly moving/changing q nodes of animals at the very least.

or the ability to adjust nodes in a certain way for a certain time, like building dams for fresh water, culitvating berry bushes in the wild to attract wild animals, letting your cattle graze in the out doors to increase the quality of foragable plants. purification for stone/metal/clay etc. all temporary or difficult to attain buffs

It doesn't affect anyone atm except mining bots and those that have all day and night to mine with nothing better to do, there are no gems to be found otherwise ... a really cool update that we've been asking for for years and turns out there is no fun to be had.

Simply adjusting nodes by players won't give us the opprtunity to explore the world seeking for high q animals, water, sand etc. like we do in the beggining of a new world. Being able to do that from time to time(each new season) imo would be a step towards the permanent world idea.
