I hope to finde in new world (W9?) more than just one edelweiss by 3 months of playing the game.

The main reason why I stopped playing was not fees. Activities that were previously simple and fun are now tedious and not pleasant.
I'm talking about cultivating the land, collecting curiosities. But the main reason for my departure was a hunger bar, this has prevented any activity.
Not to mention the quality system.... #poorHafenPlayer

well the intention is to get more players isn't it? so yeah they could tell them to fuck off but that won't help player count. i think they should really look into different price rates per region.

I would like this solution the most too, but it probably isn't the best business model anymore.

A handful compared to how many will hopefully be playing a week from now. Only people currently playing are those preparing for the larpfest occurring in about 5 days. The vast majority of us are just waiting, playing other things, masturbating, and drinking heavily until the next world.

Never understood why veterans always complain about pay to win. It is generally acceptable to charge a fee for a service - so if one is not charged, money must be made elsewhere to compensate. Also, the upside for veterans is usually the extra gear they can loot from over-paying and stupid noobs...luckily this is a full loot, perma death game and so said looting is of course a lot easier. This brings me back to the pay to play model, which is obviously a little more tricky for a vet, as now he has to actually stump up some cash, making him less interested to play and thus less likely to do so - meaning the noob has nothing to aspire to, the world is bleak and lifeless and noone buys all the expensive junk from the shoppe.

So, why not have a system where time online is actually rewarded ? In other words, either pay up or play up. This could be done weekly, with the top 10 (?) active accounts (so not just being logged in) being given play time tokens for the next week and an additional 48 hours. Make these extras redeemable and allow people to trade them for real dollars - once word gets around you can make money, then people will come (and I really do appreciate the downside of that too, with hackers and botters and whatnotters). It certainly sounds more complex than it actually is, but something like this could really help the world numbers as there is now possibly an endgame reward - a healthy world makes for a healthy game. Alternatively, you could make it earn time and receive store credit or something, to avoid the whole "earn real money" thing.

Just as a disclaimer, there is not a snowballs chance in hell of me ever making it into the top 100 let alone the top 10, so this is just something for others to discuss (or relentlessly savage).

I don't think there is any veteran complaining about paying the game. Quite oposite, they support it. Its all about that you get back for the money you pay. Either new content and good patches or broken patches that get taken back after 1 week since they failed. Thats the problem here. Finding a content that players would like and that it would bring them back to the game (or keep them playing).
