This is a change that while fixing one thing breaks more things and is detrimental to quality of gameplay and introduces more tedium....

Bring back the Inner Party or ask the community for potential fixes to these kinds of problems because assuming we bow down whales is painfully out of touch

It's a nice fix.

the boat fighting in a hole needs to be reworked and I think people should stop complaining and instead come up with different ideas to fix it.
the bandaid for now will atlest fix the shit.

I think people complain that there were other ways to fix it but the worst possible outcome came out, being a horrible band-aid and breaking water hunting, whales especially.

Have you read much of this? A full knar shooting bows is still possible and is even encouraged lmao

This fixes one side of knar cheese while neutering boat pvm for everyone else in the process

Ideally just the driver could attack which is much easier to defend against instead of 10 chops at once

Would much rather see constructive input on the actual question than meta commentary.

I think it's pretty dumb that boats act as a force multiplier, allowing a single character to be exposed to 10+, which would not be possible in any other situation, and I think that should be fixed.

I think the real fix here is object controlled objects, and walkable boats, but that is some ways away. I am open to the idea of making the driver be the one, and only one, able to hit from a ship.

It's actually pretty funny that people are upset that this negatively impacts cheesing animals like this is something Jorb and Loftar should strive to protect, if anything this should be extended to all boats and attacking an animal from a boat with a bow should do zero damage :)

Agreed! All animals should just flee if they can't path to a player.
