Cat gold is still somewhat useless for those of us who don't care much for it's decorative properties - I would suggest to make it behave as a type of ore which, if smelted has a small chance of turning into a gold nugget.

Yes. I'll make my next support out of cat gold and take a picture of it later. It'll be a super dull gold that's pretty ugly though.
