Trolls do not despawn. Get your facts straight or check you snide privileges.

They dug too deep. Too greedily.

On level 1 it didn't seem super lethal, though it did immediately get a massive hit on me, my auto-queue of quick dodge on combat start mod probably saved me from the second giving me a chance to speed 4 out of there, luckily I was near the entrance and had just refilled stamina really, I think 3-4 hits and I would have been toast, I had an AC of 26/24.
It's really put me off mining for now.

A mechanic that actually encourages me to compile a custom client with auto-combat...

Anyone else who thinks that something is wrong here?

I would prefer to have a game to play for fun, instead of needing to port the combat bot I wrote out of boredom in world 6.

I'd love to see a combat bot from w6 try to work with Hafen combat.

I guess it's just a matter of changing keybinds

The fact they don't despawn is just another kick in the nuts. If I want to get at the yummy ore in my mine I need to kill it, but to kill it I'm going to have to cheese it with crummy tactics like creating a bunch of unskilled alts.
I don't want to have to mine on a purpose built naked high strength alt and then if a troll pops port in a bunch of fresh alts to take it down from range using janky mechanics.
Surely that wasn't the vision or intention of mining.

I hate to beat a dead horse (or a despawned one that missed a taming window) but I honestly fail to see any merit in trolls the way they have been implemented.
