Even when it was paypal I still got the option to pay as a guest without paypal holding my info or making a paypal account .... but maybe it's not the same for every country, idk.

You get a fighting relation as soon as the troll spawns, so you can't port either way. Probably more than enough time to run away, however.

The total stamina consumption is certainly the same. If it feels that way to you, then that is perhaps simply because the same amount of stamina is consumed faster.
