It requires at the very least two by my count. So there's that.

I'm not sure requiring more clicks before the one hit kill puts it in a tier completely above, maybe off to the side instead.

Getting on the horse requires two clicks. Launching the game requires several.

I have almost killed my character by picking up hedgehog and gotten stuck on toad in the middle of road whilist being chased by a boar, do not doubt the power of simple annoyance.

Moving in a forest takes millions of clicks.

P.S. Seriously, jorb, what was the reason to reject the new combat system? I just tried it on the test server, killed ant with 3 UA, killed them fast with 5 already, i don't think PvE is the real reason.

Ok. So if I implemented a system that simply compared stats and assigned a winner by means of some weighted random, say, that would be fine with you, as it is only slightly to the side of what we have now?

It was on balance not good enough to merit the upset that launching it causes. Also the problem wasn't that PvE was impossible, but that there was nothing to it what-so-ever.
