i think they should just make it so if u have rage u can die and rage should cost a lot more prob like a shit ton

This would be a nice way to enable not opting into the consequences of PvP for people who are not interested in it.
Should it be introduced into a running world all characters that currently have rage should have it refunded to be able to make that choice.

This would still have the problem of making having crafter and farmer alts mandatory.

The current situation (if refined enough so you can simply decide not to die if you want to) means people can do everything on one character.

Some people forage on their main, some people do manual labour on their main, etc.

People have the tendency to use 1 character, it's generally more larpy and enjoyable than switching between multiple chars and not identifying yourself with any of them, but the game being so pro-alts is forcing them to use alts.

With the "removal" of permadeath and a couple more changes (one specific change I have in mind that I suggested to jorbo) it's likely people will use mains for everything.
