Maybe just don't get bitten by adders - ride over them with horse and they die instantly.

You can get 1-point adder wounds, for whatever reason.

Not working. Do you need some higher-level skill for it?

I have regular animal fat, that I got while butchering animals. I have 3 pieces of it. I can't stick it in a cauldron, nor can I roast it on fire. Am I doing something stupid?

You craft it by hand while using the boiling cauldron.
